Closure of Wilson Blvd. for pedestrian bridge demolition on Saturday, May 13, Sunday, May 14, and Saturday, May 20, 2017

Clark Construction will be demolishing the pedestrian bridge over Wilson Blvd. and ancillary components of said bridge on the following days: Saturday, May 13, 2017; Sunday, May 14, 2017; and Saturday, May 20, 2017.

The tentative schedule will be as follows:
Saturday, May 13: Removing various trees, strip bridge down to structure
Sunday, May 14: Erect mobile crane, remove structure of bridge
Saturday, May 20: Demolish remaining bridge components including columns and footings

This operation will result in a shutdown of Wilson Blvd. between Stuart Street and Randolph Street, with no vehicular or foot traffic access between the hours of 6:00am – 8:00pm (access to garage at Stafford Place II and pedestrian entrance to CVS from Randolph Street will remain accessible). Please note that should an unforeseen unsafe condition be encountered that necessitates the operation to extend beyond these hours, we will require the closure to remain in place until such time that the road and sidewalk can be opened to allow for safe passage.
