Announcement of Monday, January 31, 2022, virtual meeting of the Buckingham Community Civic Association

The Buckingham Community Civic Association (BCCA) will hold its next virtual membership meeting via Google Meet on Monday, January 23, 2021, beginning at 7:30 p.m.  The attachment to this message contains the meeting agenda.

Attendees should join the meeting by clicking here shortly before 7:30 p.m.  No pre-registration is needed.
Attendees who encounter difficulties in joining the meeting should send an e-mail message to Ian Garrett. Ian will open the virtual meeting before the meeting officially begins at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will feature a presentation and discussion on the programs and activities of the LAC (formerly known as Lee Arts Center at the Lee Community Center; corner of Langston Blvd. and N. Lexington Street) by David Carlson, an artist who is a member of Arlington County’s Commission for the Arts.
During the meeting, BCCA will determine the dates for its remaining 2022 meetings and its first 2023 meeting. These will be virtual meetings until the COVID-19 pandemic resolves to the point at which BCCA can again safely hold in-person meetings.

I will propose the following dates for BCCA’s upcoming meetings. Each is on the third Monday of a month.

During the meeting, BCCA will determine its 2022 officers and representatives to other organizations for 2022. These are:

Arlington County Civic Federation Delegates (4) and Alternates (4) 
Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee (CDCAC) Representative

The BCCA bylaws describe the duties of the officers and representatives.
Please send me an e-mail message if you are interested in serving as one or more of the above.  I will nominate you for the position(s).  You can also nominate yourself at the meeting.
At its November 22, 2021, virtual meeting, BCCA voted to not charge any 2022 dues for members who have paid their 2020 or 2021 dues.  BCCA will vote during the January 23 meeting on the dues (if any) that members joining in 2023 will pay.
BCCA’s 2021 dues (for people and organizations that had not paid 2020 dues) were:
