The Buckingham Community Civic Association (BCCA) will hold its next virtual membership meeting via Google Meet on Monday, January 8, 2024, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Attendees should join the meeting by clicking here shortly before 7:30 p.m. No pre-registration is needed.
Attendees who encounter difficulties in joining the meeting should send an e-mail message to Ian Garrett at ianygarrett@gmail.com. Ian will open the virtual meeting before the meeting officially begins at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting will feature a presentation and discussion by Zachary G. Williams, Partner, Venable LLP, on a site plan amendment for the McDonald’s store at 40 N. Glebe Road.  The applicant proposes to change the drive-through and parking layout on the site. The project will remove four parking spaces. 33 spaces will remain. The County Board will likely consider the site plan amendment at its meeting on Saturday, January 20.

The meeting will also feature a presentation and discussion of the activities of the Arlington Historical Society by David Pearson, the Society’s president.

During the meeting, the BCCA will determine its officers and its representatives to other organizations for 2024. These are:

Arlington Neighborhoods Advisory Committee (ArNAC) Representative and Alternate
Arlington County Civic Federation Delegates (4) and Alternates (4) 
Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee (CDCAC) Representative

During the meeting, BCCA will also determine the dates for its remaining 2024 meetings and its first 2025 meeting.

At its November 6, 2023, meeting, the BCCA voted to establish the following membership dues for 2024:

Individual: $5.00
Family: $9.00
Apartment/Condo/HOA: $15.00
Business: $25.00
Honorary: $0.00
